A significant number of women choose to use a breast prosthesis permanently or temporarily following breast cancer surgery. A patient may decide to use a prosthesis for a variety of reasons including health related concerns.

Once the decision to use a prosthesis is made, the patient can visit their mastectomy fitter. Their certified fitter will acquaint them with the different types and styles of breast prostheses, bras, camisoles and other mastectomy garments. Refitting is recommended on an annual basis, and is sometimes necessary due to the aging process and fluctuations in weight.

At Active Life we know how important a woman's health and appearance are to her overall well being. We understand this, and make an extra effort to assist our patients with both their physical and psychological recovery.

At Active Life we provide private, comfortable consultations with certified fitters at our facility. When appropriate, our mastectomy fitters will provide pre-surgical counseling and fitting for prosthetic breast forms that can be worn immediately following a mastectomy procedure.

We offer a wide-range of breast form styles, sizes, colors, and weights. In addition, we also offer a full line of bras, camisoles and bathing suits that are specially designed to accommodate your breast prosthesis.
