It can be difficult to get into the clinic for a family with little ones, so a virtual visit with our TeleHealth practitioners can be a good starting point to evaluate for new devices or check in for a follow-up. Some categories of devices we like to see kids for periodic follow-ups are cranial remolding orthoses (CRO helmets), scoliosis braces (TLSOs), clubfoot bracing, and pectus braces.
Please prepare answers to the following questions before your TeleHealth evaluation:
- When did you notice the deformity or gait deviation?
- Is your child currently in physical therapy? If so, how long has he/she been in it and who is the therapist?
- (For scoliosis) Does your child have a leg length discrepancy?
- You may be asked to email pictures of your child's affected body part to the clinician.
